Using Realtor.com vs MLS

I've read many of your blog posts about using MLS for property listings. I know realtor.com is a very popular website that I can access for free and has many listings and usually pretty good descriptions of the properties. I haven't used MLS yet. I was just curious what your opinion of the website was. Thanks!

  • Realtor.com is delayed and not all listings are on there.

  • Realtor says that their listings come from the local MLS, but that is not always the case. Find a good Realtor who can share with you their feed. Many MLS offer an associate membership that costs $35 per month to see the listings. You might want to find a Realtor to work with and see if you can get an associate membership.
